Merchant Agreement

1. How selling on Verdge works

When a buyer pays for your goods, service, digital item, or rental through your Verdge storefront, the payment is held by our payment partner. It does not reach you straight away.

1. You fulfil the order and mark it delivered once the buyer has what they paid for: the goods received, the service you performed, the digital item delivered, or the rental handed over.
2. The buyer then has a protection window to confirm they're happy or raise a dispute.
3. Funds release to your revenue wallet when the buyer confirms, or automatically after the window if they don't act, so honest sellers are always paid.

Mark delivered only when the buyer actually has the order, not at courier handoff. Marking early starts the buyer's inspection clock too soon.

Rentals. If you rent items out, the renter pays the rental fee plus a refundable deposit. The rental fee releases to you as above. The deposit is held separately and returns to the renter automatically after the rental period, unless you flag damage within the return window, in which case it's reviewed like a dispute. Flag only genuine damage: the deposit is the renter's money unless there's a real claim.

2. Disputes are resolved by Verdge

If a buyer raises a dispute on one of your orders, Verdge reviews it and decides the outcome: release to you, refund to the buyer, or a partial split of the held amount.

You agree that Verdge acts as the neutral decision-maker for disputes on your orders, and that its resolution is final and binding on the held funds. This is what lets buyers shop with confidence and lets you sell to people who don't yet know you.

Verdge decides based on these terms and the order details. It is not a court and is not a party to your sale.

3. Fees

• Verdge may charge a platform fee on payments released to you. It is shown to you before it applies and is taken from the seller's portion at release, never from a buyer's refund.
• The rate that applies is the one in force when you registered, shown in your dashboard. If we change it, we'll show you the new rate and the date it takes effect. Before that date you keep your current rate; you can accept the new rate early, or if you keep selling after the date, that is your acceptance. If you don't agree, stop selling before the effective date.
• Card and transfer fees charged by the payment partner, and any withdrawal fees, are separate and disclosed where they apply.

4. Your responsibilities

• Sell only what you are legally allowed to sell, and describe it accurately.
• Deliver what the buyer ordered, on time, and mark delivery honestly.
• Respond to disputes and buyer issues in good faith.
• Don't take payment off-platform to avoid the protection or fees. Orders arranged outside Verdge are not covered and undermine buyer trust.
• Keep the buyer information you receive (name, address, contact) confidential and use it only to fulfil the order.

5. Prohibited items and conduct

No illegal, counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or restricted goods. No fraud, misrepresentation, or attempts to circumvent the protection process. Verdge may remove listings and take action on accounts that breach this.

6. Getting paid

Released funds land in your revenue wallet, and you withdraw to your payout bank from the dashboard. Settlement timing and any holds are shown there. Funds tied to an unresolved dispute may be held until it is settled.

7. Suspension and closure

Verdge may pause or close a storefront that breaches this agreement, has excessive disputes, or poses a risk to buyers, and may hold related funds until outstanding disputes are resolved.

8. Funds, custody, and legal

8.1. Verdge is a technology and payment-routing platform, not a bank, and does not itself hold your money. Protected payments are held with our licensed payment partner until they are released or refunded; Verdge guarantees the process, not custody of the funds.

8.2. You are responsible for your own taxes, licences, and legal compliance for what you sell.
